Tehiyah Day School A Jewish Community Day School
Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is committed to helping Tehiyah continue to grow and flourish and be successful over the long term. As stated by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), “The board is the guardian of the school’s mission. It is the board’s responsibility to ensure that the mission is relevant and vital to the community it serves and to monitor the success of the school in fulfilling its mission.”

The Board of Trustees is comprised of individuals with a deep connection to Tehiyah whose skills, experience and ruach help the Board engage in responsible financial management, thoughtful planning, and sound decision-making. During the school year, the Board usually meets once per month. The Board’s key responsibilities include approving the school’s annual budget, hiring and evaluating the Head of School, and developing and implementing long-range plans.

Message from the Board President

As a parent, I expect a lot from Tehiyah. It is the place where I want and expect my children to grow and flourish as students, friends, and members of the Jewish community. When my son started at Tehiyah, I expected him to be challenged as a student and as a human being. But as I became more involved with Tehiyah, I learned that the school and the community expect a lot from parents too. These expectations are high, but they are also a blessing. Why? Because they bring us into the Tehiyah community by showing our children that community matters and by teaching our children to be engaged in their lives and their community.

As the President of the Tehiyah Board of Trustees, I am committed to helping Tehiyah grow and flourish. I am thankful for the opportunity to lead the Board during this important period. I take on this role with deep pride and respect for our school and our community, and I look forward to working closely with the members of our community to fulfill this role.

b'Shalom,
