Get to Know Tehiyah
Attend an information meeting: Thursday, October 27, 2011, 7-8:30 p.m. or Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10-11:30 a.m. (brunch and childcare provided).
- Experience the richness of our community.
- Learn about our dual curriculum.
- Meet our head of school and faculty.
- Hear from our students, parents, and alumni.
Attend our Preschool Havdallah and All-School Open House Sunday, November 20, 2011, 10-11:30 a.m.
- Children participate in a variety of fun activities.
- Celebrate the end of Shabbat and greet the new week in song.
- Meet our head of school and faculty.
Parent Visit

Tours begin at 9:00 a.m.
Complete the Application Process – Application Deadline: January 31, 2012
Return the application with the $75 application fee.
Enclose all prior educational and/or psychological evaluations.*
Give your child’s current teacher the student evaluation form.
Call Tehiyah’s business office for a tuition assistance application (if applicable).
Late applications will be reviewed on a rolling admissions basis.
Student Visit
Child is invited to an organized group play time.
While the children are visiting with the teachers, parents meet with the head of school.
Each applicant will also be observed individually at his/her preschool – Families will be notified as to the date and time of these visits in advance.
Enrollment
In agreement with all independent schools of the East Bay, admission notification letters (as well as tuition assistance awards) are mailed on March 9, 2012. Enrollment contracts and tuition deposits must be returned to Tehiyah by March 16, 2012.
* Tehiyah values its diverse community of learners. In order to assess whether or not we can appropriately serve students, it is crucial to receive all reports/assessments so that we can assure that all children admitted have the opportunity to be successful.
