Tehiyah Day School is dedicated to the ideal of being able to provide a community day school experience to all families and children who desire such an education. In that vein, Tehiyah is extremely committed to our tuition assistance program. Approximately 1/3 of our families receive some amount of tuition assistance.
As a school, we strongly believe and practice an admissions process which is separate from the tuition assistance program. Families who feel eligible for tuition assistance should contact Tehiyah Business Manager, Elena Givental to have a tuition assistance application mailed separately.

Tuition Assistance Timeline
- Families assess individually or through consultation with the business office if they should apply.
- Families complete the tuition assistance application, send the original to SSS (School and Student Service for Financial Aid), and send a copy of the application with their previous year tax returns to Tehiyah by January 31, 2007.
- The tuition assistance committee determines an award amount, and the notification is included with each family’s admission letter.
- Families sign school contract and notification of tuition grant. Return both with the contract deposit.
- If you have any questions or concerns about the tuition assistance package offered, please call or write a letter to the business office. The committee may revisit the request.
- Agreement is set in place or, if not, the enrollment deposit is refunded.
