The Tehiyah Day School Library seeks to support the mission of Tehiyah Day School:
Tehiyah Day School is a Jewish community day school committed to serving a diverse student body, maintaining academic excellence and instilling in its students a love of learning, respect for individual differences, and a deep appreciation of Jewish values and culture.
- by collection development policies that foster the acquisition of materials that present diverse perspectives and experiences, a variety of interest and reading levels, and different formats and by sponsoring storytellers and author/illustrator visits representing many cultures, styles and perspectives;
- by active support of the school's dual curricula through materials selection and assistance to teachers and students in finding relevant materials that enrich and enhance the school's educational programs;
- by providing materials that meet a variety of interests and needs in a K-8 setting to delight students and foster a life-long love of reading and learning, and provide a variety of perspectives to foster critical thinking and decision-making skills;
- by providing a collection rich in Jewish history, culture and values as well as an extensive collection written in Hebrew
